Place Card Tables: Make a Great First Impression

Place card tables are a focal point of every wedding reception, so why not incorporate fabulous floral design to ensure that the first impression is a lasting one!

As your guests arrive at your reception, the first stop they make is a visit to your place card table. While perusing through the sea of names, welcome your guests and provide them with a glimpse of what's awaiting them inside. What better way to wow them than with spectacular floral treatments that speak to the style of your special day.

If you have chosen a non-traditional decor, you may want to go with a dynamic floral arrangement that incorporates flowers of different shapes and textures such as hydrangea and the elongates, sleek lines of the calla lily.

To achieve a more traditional style with a modern flare, I love to use classic roses in unexpected colors like peach, housed in vases of different shapes and sizes. Another option is a traditional arrangement of irises updated through the unexpected use of long stemmed hydrangea.

The place cards themselves can also complement the table. For example, make the cards stand out by arranging them into different patterns. You can also set them apart with the addition of a miniature flower arrangement. Another wonderful option is to have your cards do double duty as both seating assignments and as special gifts for your special guests.
