Texture in 2010!

Goodbye tailored and hello texture! Textured bouquets have been a growing trend for awhile, but expect to see it everywhere this year. From shabby chic with texture to bold with texture, it's all about accessorizing your flowers with unique and unexpected elements. There are so many organic items that can be incorporated to make your bouquet elegant and eye catching. Some of my favorites are: feathers (but not overdone), wheat, scabiosa pods, privet berries, seeded eucalyptus, viburnum berries and lavender.

To go with your texture, how about some color? When it comes to color, shades of purple are still a popular choice: amethyst, plum and eggplant. Green makes a wonderful complimentary color. For a softer look try sage tones, or a touch of acid green to make your bouquet pop.

If all this texture and color just isn't you, not to worry. All white bouquets are still in high demand, because they are timeless. Even in you go for an all white bridal bouquet, you can still introduce color into your ceremony with the bridesmaids bouquets. The most important thing to remember is to be yourself, because that never goes out of style.
