Artichoke Wedding Cake

As an ode to the vineyard wedding location, the couple's wedding cake featured four tiers with alternating layers of artichoke petals made of gumpaste or a handpainted grapevine motif. The top and base of the confection was decorated with sugar paste artichokes, grapes, lavender, and herbs.
