Not only did Amsale recently show off their fall 2017 collection at Bridal Fashion Week, but they also hosted actress Cara Santana as she tried on dresses for her wedding to fellow actor Jesse Metcalfe. The affianced pair plans to wed in Martha’s Vineyard next September, so it was important to Cara to have a gown that is both “quintessentially East Coast” and “not stuffy.” Her close friend, actress Jamie Chung, advised her to pick the venue first, so that everything else would fall into place, and Cara has taken that suggestion to heart.
Two of the dresses she tried on showcase two different directions the bride could go in for her wedding day. The “Fenton” is classic and romantic, with lace sleeves and a neckline that evoke Grace Kelly's royal look. A keyhole back keeps it from being overly modest, while the tiered tulle skirt adds a modern flair. The “Ruby” gown, on the other hand, is an elegant and contemporary style. A sleek, crepe silk gown with a sweetheart neckline hugs every curve and the illusion overlay adds a peplum detail.
