Sathya Balakumar and Heather Green are the young designer duo behind the Lakum label. For fall 2018, the designers were inspired by legendary artists Joan Miró and Francis Picabia as well as Zaha Hadid. Balakumar and Green developed new textures and embroideries to stand out and become innovators in the bridal market.

Their modern aesthetic is clean and minimalist, and their collection had an architectural hand with clean, sharp lines and geometric shapes. Key looks included a neoprene strapless bustier, midi pencil skirt, and a rhombus chrome-embroidered peplum; a neoprene asymmetrical gown; and a ribbon blossom-embroidered top and neoprene wide-leg trousers. These young designers are ones to watch. See these styles and more in the slideshow above!
