Every April and October, we look forward to seeing the new collections shown during New York Bridal Fashion Week! This premier Bridal Market event showcases the latest wedding dress designs from top designers around the world, influencing trends for upcoming seasons.
From breathtaking vintage-inspired looks to sculptural modern designs and standout silhouettes, each collection becomes a source of inspiration for brides, regardless of their budget and aesthetic. Bridal collections often include a range of trending silhouettes and details, such as basque waistlines and accentuated hips, which are popular trends seen in this season's fashion shows.
The Spring/Summer 2027 collections that debuted earlier this April feature stunning bridal gowns, along with beautiful accessories and add-ons. Modern bridal accessories are moving beyond veils to include capes, gloves, and dramatic headpieces, as well as "quick change" detachable accessories including toppers, overskirts, and more – and exposed corsetry and boning are popular design elements in modern bridal fashion, providing a romantic yet sculpted silhouette.
From more modest, sophisticated looks for the classic bride to sheer lace gowns – and even midriffs and mini dresses – for brides desiring a sexier look on the big day or for the after-party, brides-to-be will discover elegant styles showcasing bows, flowers, sparkling jewels, and more.
Top trends in bridal fashion include 3D and graphic florals, vintage '90s-inspired designs, ballet-chic looks, and so much more. To help outline some of the inspiration behind the latest romantic collections, we’re sharing 22 wedding-dress trends we saw at New York Bridal Fashion Week – plus three gowns for each trend from various designers that captured the essence of each look.
Take a look at 22 of the top wedding-dress trends from the NYBFW Spring 2027 collections, below:
Whether in the front of back of your dream wedding dress, we love the elegance of incorporating bows for a soft, feminine design detail that adds a finishing touch to the perfect dress.
From subtle to bold, we're seeing a lot of accentuated hip detailing this season! Using the same fabric creates a more cohesive look, while contrasting fabrics can create an entirely different design!

For a bold floral addition, consider three-dimensional floral appliqués throughout the bodice and skirt – or just at the hem!

Another vote for timeless elegance comes from the off-the-shoulder draping of many styles seen at this season's Bridal Fashion Week. It's also a very flattering design detail!

We saw a lot of basque waists this season! Providing an antique, vintage-inspired look for your dream dress, this style is on trend yet a celebration of Old World design.

Voluminous sheer elements were popular this season as well, with sheer bodice and skirt details, flowing sheer sleeves and skirt adornments, and sheer capes and toppers adding beauty and whimsy to dress styles.
