Designer Michael Costello debuted his spring/summer 2018 collection of couture and bridal gowns on Friday, September 8, 2017. The presentation featured a diverse range of models of all shapes, sizes, and ages, who wore the fashion-forward gowns in front of a lush wall covered in flowers. "The spring/summer 2018 collection invites women to step into a secret garden where humanity and nature entwine, which is conceptualized through soft-treated organzas, exquisite embroideries, and lace overlays," the fashion house states.
An array of bridal styles were introduced – from ball gowns and cocktail dresses to a lace-embroidered bodysuit paired with a full skirt – and other styles in dusty blush hues were also shown as they are perfectly suited for brides desiring a modern, nontraditional look. Sheer details are featured in most of the styles, as are floral embroideries, appliqués, and beading. The collection also ranges from modest high-neck, long-sleeved ensembles to daring low-back, barely there looks.
