Shopping for wedding dresses is an exciting time for brides, but it can also be stressful – especially if you don’t fit into sample sizes. Full-figured women often have to imagine what a clipped-on gown will look like on the big day, and that’s if the dress even comes in her size. There is a big market for plus-sized gowns, but unfortunately it’s largely ignored. Hope is on the horizon, however, as popular bridal designer Madeline Gardner introduces the new Julietta collection for her Morilee line.
These eight new wedding dresses feature silhouettes to flatter the curves of a full-figured bride. From ball gowns that cinch the waist to drop-waist mermaid gowns to show off your shape, each gown pairs its silhouette with stunning detail. There are dresses with beaded crystal embroidery to bring in some bling, and beautiful lace appliqués for a romantic look. For brides desiring a twist on the traditional, “Michelle” and “Mila” are available in ivory with a coco underlay, while “Miranda” and “Mischa” have the option of a champagne and light gold underlay, respectively.
