After the pomp and circumstance of a wedding ceremony, even the most formal affairs will often let loose for the recessional. Sure, decades ago married couples would walk together up the aisle to Felix Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March,” but now brides and grooms like to show their personality during their nuptials. One of our favorite ways to see newlyweds celebrate is with a jaunty tune as they walk together back up the aisle as husband and wife. The right song can set the tone for your guests to enjoy the cocktail hour and make sure they’re in a party mood during the reception.

If you’ve been stuck on selecting your ceremony music, we’ve put together a ist of fun, upbeat tracks that would be great choices for any recessional. Perhaps one of these songs is the piece that has been missing during your planning process and will complete the soundtrack to your new married life. Listen below!

"I Do" - Colbie Caillat

"You Make My Dreams" - Darryl Hall & John Oates

"All You Need Is Love" - The Beatles

"I Believe in a Thing Called Love" - The Darkness

"I Melt With You" - Modern English

"Love on Top" - Beyoncé

"Love Never Felt So Good" - Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake
