As springtime is coming to a close, we’re quite excited to be gearing up for all of the impending summer nuptials almost upon us. For those who have found themselves newly engaged and looking to wed in the summer months – whether it be this year, next, or beyond – doing research to gain inspiration is essential. Organizing a summer celebration can seem like a daunting task; however, the relaxed backdrop of June, July, and August should help mellow you and your sweetheart out while making those tough selections.

While searching for fresh and fun ideas, you’ll probably also be creating the vision of your overall concept in your mind – especially your color scheme. With summer being the sunniest and hottest of the seasons, you can imagine the kinds of bright hues it call for. There are so many colors to choose from, but we’ve selected four idyllic tones for you and your partner to consider in order to enhance your motif and perfectly highlight your décor.

YELLOW

If there were ever a time to incorporate this bright-as-the-sun shade into your wedding day, it’d be summer. Pay homage to the warmth and happiness all around you with touches of yellow throughout the event – it’s the perfect color for whimsical linens bedecking your outdoor tablescapes, sweet wedding favors, and mirror-top calligraphy. Consider highlighting sunflowers in your chosen floral arrangements as well!

CHAMPAGNE

This light and airy hue will accent your rustic-chic wedding, East Coast seaside celebration, or even your country club nuptials. It is one of the neutral tones that will complement the bolder colors you select – especially warmer colors such as yellow and orange. Champagne looks lovely in all kinds of décor elements, ensembles, and paper products. It’s incredibly versatile, matching the color of burlap table runners just as easily as with the sophisticated, namesake drink.

ORANGE

Though some may think this color an odd choice for a formal event, there are a number of ways in which to include it in your summer nuptials. For those wanting to make a splash, adding bold orange blooms into a bouquet or another floral arrangement is a unique idea. Select a toned-down shade, such as salmon or peach, for a more feminine, delicate vibe.

SILVER

Many believe this hue to be more fit for winter nuptials, but adding this striking metallic into your sunny summer wedding might just give it the extra flair it needs. Silver can come in many forms, including a lighter grey with a bit of a sheen that’s mostly found in vases and other vessels, and even reflective materials used to achieve a mirror effect. The tone can mimic a shiny seashell, which makes it perfect for celebrations with ocean motifs.
