Today's Q&A features award-winning event consultant, Charley Izabella King of Bluebell Events, her international event-planning company. Charley, who has a background as an actress and Broadway star, titled her party-planning company after the nickname her father gave her while growing up. We're excited to learn a bit more about Charley through our Editor's Circle Q&A, followed by a few images of her beautiful functions.

How old were you when you began your profession as a wedding consultant? I started about five years ago, so in my 30s.

What’s the most eccentric request you have ever received from a bride? No request is too crazy! I like it when my brides think outside the box and want something different. Then I have to go and figure out how to make it happen. It's such a wonderful moment to be able to say to them, "Hey guess what, I did it!"

What’s your favorite aspect of a wedding? There are many moments I love, for example, right before the bride walks down the aisle. I see the anxious excitement in her eyes as she heads towards her future. I see the emotion in the eyes of the father and daughter before they walk together for the last time. And then, once the wedding is under way, I feel a wonderful sense of pride and emotion that everything my bride dreamed of came true. I never fail to have a little tear at that moment. I am such a romantic!!

What other industry would you be in if not this one? I was an actress, dancer, and singer for my whole life and had a fantastic time doing Broadway and London Musicals, film, and TV. It will always be a part of me and I know all my experiences have helped me so much with this career.

What famous wedding in history would you have most liked to work on and why? I would have loved to have been a part of our new, modern fairy-tale romance: the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. They set a lot of new trends, I think. I would have loved to have been at Diana’s, too! Maybe Grace Kelly’s as well…
