Freeform Bouquets:

2019 calls for an update on the traditional wedding bouquet. Why not go with an eclectic blend of flowers that combine classic and contemporary designs in an updated color palette such as deep purple and bright orange. A nice touch would be to include textured and rare flowers such as Juliet roses, fire lilies, and foliage. Large freeform bouquets boast a complex shape that mimics the bride’s personality and distinct taste for an elegant, yet timeless look.

Organic & Unkempt Floral Garden Style Tables:

Couples are opting for low centerpieces with a more natural and romantic look while pairing flowers with mismatched china, cut crystal, and a beautifully upgraded linen.

Sentimental Messages:

One of my personal favorite wedding trends for 2019 are sentimental messages for the wedding day. Writing notes to your bridesmaids on stationery is a classic way to showcase your appreciation and love. In addition to personalized notes, give your bridesmaids an engraved Shutterfly necklace or bracelet to show them how much you care.

Olfactory Experience:

A unique way to brand your wedding is on the horizon. Create your own custom blend of scents and spritz them on your invite, pump them through the venue space, and even gift a candle from the party. Smell is the sense most closely linked to memory, so your guests will commemorate your best day ever when they light the wick.

Sustainable Celebrations:

Using anything from reusable straws to biodegradable confetti and locally sourced table accessories can help to make the big day more plant-friendly.

The After-Party Jumpsuit:

Another trend we’re seeing for the bride is an after-party jumpsuit. This fashion statement makes it easy to dance, have fun, and is incredibly cute!

Balloon Walls:

Balloon walls are the new flower walls. Go big or go home with a wall covered in balloons. To keep it from overwhelming guests or take away from your shining moment, stick to a singular palette, but feel free to mix up the balloon sizes.
