Usually, this small space includes cushioned chaises and couches for attendees to relax and mingle – away from the formality of the dining tables. 

The motif of these additional zones typically mirrors the overarching design of the event – if the celebration is taking place outside in a field, the lounge area may have a picnic or tea-party feel.
