When organizing the aesthetic of your reception space, couples often keep a few staple details in mind: color scheme, centerpieces, and the dance floor. However, in these modern times, many engaged pairs are electing to include an entirely new concept for added comfort: the lounge area. Usually, this small space includes cushioned chaises and couches for attendees to relax and mingle – away from the formality of the dining tables. 

The motif of these additional zones typically mirrors the overarching design of the event – if the celebration is taking place outside in a field, the lounge area may have a picnic or tea-party feel. If the reception happens to be in a grand ballroom with opulent details, this space could embody a more refined evening soirée concept that will allow guests to put their feet up – so to speak – while still observing the heightened decorum of the nuptials.
