For some brides, their "something blue" is a small stitching on the inside of their wedding dress or their lingerie. And for other couples, the wedding décor itself serves as a bold “something blue.” Known as a "cool" color, blue is found prominently in nature and is thought to evoke feelings of tranquility and serenity – with a touch of elegance and class.

From cobalt to turquoise, azure to sky, there's a shade of blue for any style wedding in any season. As with any color scheme, blues can be incorporated by adding a touch here and there. Some couples go all out with blue-tinted event lighting, while others incorporate the hue in bridal-party attire, flowers, linens, or calligraphy.

View some of our favorite ways brides and grooms can incorporate the color blue into their wedding décor, below. For more blue wedding inspiration, view our blue photo gallery and browse real weddings that utilize the cool hue.
