Terminally Ill Groom Celebrates Wedding with Months to Live

For one Toronto groom, his wedding was a celebration of life as well as love.

Solomon Chau was diagnosed with liver cancer in December, but he and his fiancée, Jennifer Carter, thought they'd still be able to get married in August 2015, the NY Daily News reported. After Chau's cancer took a turn for the worse in March, the couple created a GoFundMe page and raised more than $50,000 in just a few days to help move their wedding to April 11, 2015.

Chau died four months after the wedding, and his funeral was held on his original wedding date of August 21, 2015. He was 26 years old.

The couple's wedding video, which was posted on Vimeo by videography company Boundless Video, is a beautiful representation of Chau and Carter's love for each other. "You and I should have been able to live the next 60 years of our lives together, but I'm still forever thankful that God gave us eight incredible years," Carter wrote on her Facebook page.
