Move over photo booths, a new reception trend is taking over! As we have the privilege of looking over hundreds of beautiful real weddings, we have noticed an increasingly popular addition to the big day that we just love: live event artists. Typically a painter, the artist will create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece from your big day, making a work of art out of whichever moment you choose.

This unique service has become so in demand that The St. Regis Princeville Resort in Hawaii elected to bring on an exclusive illustrator, Dallas Shaw, for couples hosting their nuptials on the property. “This service allows couples to capture the memory of their special day in a truly unique way, whether it be an illustration of the bride in her wedding dress, her designer wedding shoes, or with her bridesmaids with the stunning views from the resort in the background, the illustrations are sure to provide a memorable keepsake for years to come,” shares Donald Chock, Director of Sales and Marketing at The St. Regis Princeville Resort.

Below, you can find examples of some of the work done at the celebrations featured in the pages Inside Weddings and on InsideWeddings.com. Click each photo to see what other trends these couples utilized, and be sure to browse the entertainment gallery for further inspiration.
