After being introduced by a staff member at a resort they were each vacationing at in Turks and Caicos, it became clear this was no chance meeting. It was something out of the ordinary. “The most memorable part of our meeting was the instant connection, so much so that we spent the rest of our respective trips together,” describes Daniela Malmstrom.

Years later, Vincent Farricielli got down on bended knee on the same beach where they met, presenting his grandmother’s vintage diamond ring. “She had given it to me to give to Daniela after only meeting her once – six months into dating her,” explains Vincent. “It had me taken aback… Of course I had thought about it, but I hadn’t mentioned the idea of proposing to Daniela to anyone other than my mom. It was a very special moment with my grandparents.”

For the next 18 months, Daniela and her mother worked closely together with a wedding planner to plan a fairy-tale destination wedding celebration. “The majority of people, on both sides, would be traveling, so we looked for a location that had a venue option for an entire weekend of events,” explains the bride of their luxury hotel choice. Guests were first invited via a romantic invitation suite with soft floral illustrations and whimsical elements.

A timeless all-white ceremony was arranged at the chapel on the sprawling property. A gorgeous floral arch framed the entryway and lush arrangements with the same design pattern lined the aisle where 190 loved ones took their seats on either side to witness the nuptials. Daniela wore a classic A-line lace gown from Mark Ingram Atelier and carried a nosegay of lilies of the valley, while Vincent was dapper in a custom tuxedo with a matching black bow tie. A Catholic ceremony was important to the groom, and so they carried out a customary mass for the vow exchange.

“The evening was one of the most entertaining, vibrant, and alive feelings I have felt at an event that wasn’t a concert.”

Once they were pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds led their attendees to the cocktail hour and reception spaces, where loved ones found their table assignments by way of paper butterflies affixed to the frothy yellow dress of an entertainer that made the pieces appear to flutter about. It was a neat, interactive way for friends and family to discover their seating cards.

An oversized clear tent was wholly bedecked in greenery and white florals, in addition to glamorous chandeliers and lavish tablescapes. Each place setting boasted a dark-hued charger plate, china with a pretty pattern in olive green, and a personalized, embroidered linen napkin. Table shapes, linen treatments, and styles of chairs alternated, as did the flower centerpieces to create dramatic depth and texture within the grand space.

The remarkable area called for an outstanding confection, atypical of a normal wedding cake, which was exactly what was on display. The four-layered masterpiece showcased edible orchids, perfectly shaped and trailing up along the tall, slender treat.

Vincent recollects his favorite memories of the big day and admits that forever in his mind will be seeing Daniela in her wedding gown. “She was beautiful,” he confirms of her refined bridal look. He also notes that the after-party was a memorable vibe. “The evening was one of the most entertaining, vibrant, and alive feelings I have felt at an event that wasn’t a concert,” he emphasizes.

The new Mr. and Mrs. looked stylish in their after-party ensembles and took to the dance floor with their guests into the wee hours. “There is absolutely nothing I would change about the day!” exclaims Daniela.
