Like many couples, Kyra Grande and Yves Belanger were introduced to one another by mutual friends. They eventually fell in love, and Yves proposed to his sweetheart during the holiday season. “[On] Christmas Eve 2016, Yves hid the engagement ring in the tree,” the bride recalls of the memorable proposal.

Out of all the fabulous wedding venues in Florida, the lovebirds were drawn to the luxurious Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach for their oceanfront nuptials. They also knew they wanted to tie the knot near Miami, despite their Orlando residence. “Miami is our little getaway space and [we] wanted a beach wedding,” Kyra tells. In lieu of a grand guest list, they opted to host an intimate occasion for 13 attendees and no bridal party, which started with a vow exchange on the sand. After saying their I dos, loved ones gathered for a dinner beneath a sophisticated tent. “We decided to rent [the tent] last minute,” the bride reveals. “[It] had fans to keep everyone cool and was covered with roses, ambient lighting, and made everything feel more intimate.”

While the location was a priority for the couple, they also wanted to execute a romantic feel for their special evening and highlight the bride’s most beloved hue. “Pink is my favorite color!” she smiles. Thus, the pair utilized a palette of red, pink, and white throughout the décor, including an abundance of roses along the banquet table and tiered confection. “[We] wanted a romantic theme on the beach [while] overlooking the ocean,” says the bride. Towards the end of the night, the newlyweds sliced their cake beneath the same arch used for their vow exchange, which was adorned with gorgeous greenery and fuchsia blooms.

Looking back on her wedding day, Kyra affirms that her most special moment was walking down the aisle and seeing her husband. “[I felt] so blessed and so lucky to have him be mine forever,” she muses.
