During her time as a restaurant hostess, Caroline Sparks realized her chemistry with her coworker and future husband, Joshua Grossbard. “When first meeting, 21-year old-Josh yelled a silly, ‘What’s up, girl?’ He did not think I would hear [but] to his surprise, I yelled back! We instantly clicked,” she shares. Five years later, Josh proposed to Caroline during an event she planned in Tennessee and celebrated with dinner.

The couple dedicated eight months to planning their gorgeous ballroom wedding, which Caroline always wanted. “I had to have a ballroom! I imagined a beautiful ballroom wedding my entire life and traveled all the way to Atlanta to have one,” the bride affirms. They hosted their nuptials at a grand hotel in the Southern city for its antique yet sophisticated architecture. More than 100 guests gathered that evening for the duo’s Christian wedding ceremony, where Caroline donned the perfect style for her fete. “I wore a ballgown skirt over top my wedding dress just during the ceremony for that fairy-tale wedding feel,” she says.

“Enjoy this time! It goes by so fast and you will create the most amazing memories."

The regality of the venue was enhanced with the couple’s soft palette of white, ivory, blush and gold hues along with a plethora of blooms. “[We had] large dramatic florals on tall glass urns including hydrangea, garden roses, spray roses and orchids,” she explains. “Sparkling crystals hung from each floral arrangement [and] a collection of blush mercury glass vases, crystal candelabras and mercury glass were placed between the large centerpieces.”

In addition, 175 cream and blush garden roses cascaded down their three tier confection. Although they placed the most emphasis on their floral arrangements and decor overall, they were extremely excited for their guests to see the dance floor. “Our dance floor was totally custom from [our entertainment vendor]. We had a white dance floor [personalized] with our initials. We got so many compliments!” she remembers.

Caroline also recalls how swiftly the time passes and encourages all engaged couples to cherish every moment. “Enjoy this time!” the bride affirms. “It goes by so fast and you will create the most amazing memories. The time definitely sneaks by, but we tried our best to stay present.”
