Remembering the instant comfort and ease they both felt towards one another when they first met, France Tucker and Efrain Cortez knew they were meant to be. “We met at Starbucks,” shares France. “We talked for six hours like we knew each other forever.” When Efrain felt it was time to propose, he knew he had to find the perfect ring. “I got some ideas of what she wanted and increased that by 10,” admits Efrain of his process.

Desiring a wedding that “felt like home,” the lovebirds sought out a venue where only one event could be held in order to have a beautiful, private day for themselves and their loved ones. As they dedicated one year to planning their perfect fête, France and Efrain felt it important to honor their first meeting and took influence from the coffeehouse for their color scheme.

“We met at Starbucks. We talked for six hours like we knew each other forever... Make every part of the day filled with moments, people, and activities that mean everything to you and your husband.”

Although they wanted an all-white wedding in terms of the overall décor scheme, they added some greenery in the florals and bridesmaids wore emerald-toned dresses to reflect the glamour and elegance desired. The romantic, candle-lit ceremony incorporated sentimental songs carefully selected by the couple to further guide the ambience of the day. Lush, timeless white and vanilla florals lined the aisle. The charming pathway paired perfectly with France’s beautiful ivory long-sleeved gown.

Carrying over the design of the regal ceremony, the reception offered a perfect blend of glamour and opulence. As loved ones joined together for the celebration, they were seated at tables beautifully bedecked in extravagant arrangements of white florals in sleek glass vases, which were paired with glass candelabras and cream candles that lined the center of each table. In order to maintain the flow of the dreamy setting, the all-white decor of the room was complemented with gold-and-white chairs, gilt cutlery, and an ornate gold dance floor.

With a guest list of 160 loved ones, the night was everything the couple dreamed with their dearest loved ones and featured a delectable meal, sweet speeches from the best man and maid of honor toasting the newlyweds, and plenty of dancing and merriment. For other couples planning their own weddings, France shares some advice: “Make every part of the day filled with moments, people, and activities that mean everything to you and your husband.”
