After meeting Austin Juma at a house party, Mary Hauck remembers telling her best friend, “I think he’s my person.” She was right! Less than two years later, Austin proposed where they shared a home, just down the street from the apartment where they first met.

When beginning to plan their nuptials, Mary found their dream venue right away. “It was exactly what I wanted, and my wedding planners knew it was so unique that there weren’t many other places that lived up to [my desires], so I was sold,” she confirms of the Colorado ranch. “We are the perfect blend of fancy and relaxed, so we needed our venue to reflect that.”

With the assistance of her planner, the bride decided on a blue agate design for the invitations and chose to incorporate the motif throughout the elegant, bohemian celebration. “We had a geode cake, we used the invitation to vinyl the dance floor with the same graphic, and we had blue agates on each place setting and in the décor,” Mary details.

The ceremony was out on the green field of the ranch overlooking the hills. Mary and Austin exchanged vows underneath a unique triangular structure made of six intersecting wooden poles adorned with greenery and cream florals. As a touching tribute, the brother and niece of the bride performed songs as part of the service.

The newlyweds had a chance to get a sneak peek of the stunning reception before their guests filed into the space. “I was walking into my own fairy tale,” Mary proclaims. In addition to the agate details, the bride and groom were wowed by the elaborate ceiling installation, which showcased greenery and cascading garlands of orchids and crystals above both the dance floor and dinner tables. Small, yet bright arrangements of flowers were displayed in gold vases and geometric terrariums to add warmth to the space.

Once loved ones joined the newlyweds to see the reception room, they found their seats to enjoy a plated dinner service before enjoying slices of the wedding cake, as well as partaking in the oxygen bar and dance floor. With the addition of an after-party, revelers continued the celebration until 2AM. Everything went perfectly for the couple. The bride affirms, “All the decision-making and stress is so worth it – it goes by in a blink of the eye and is truly the best day of your life.”
