Perhaps no Hollywood duo better represents the phenomenon of real-life couples who have starred together on-screen than Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Ten years after memorably playing married hitmen (and kicking off their own relationship) in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the Jolie-Pitts are together on-screen again in By the Sea, which opened last week. This time, they play a troubled married couple attempting to overcome a mysterious past trauma. The film, directed by Jolie, is sure to entice viewers eager to see the couple's chemistry sizzle on-screen. Which got us thinking: what other real married celebrities have played a couple in the movies?

There have actually been many couples who either met while co-starring in a film together, or teamed up after they had already gotten married. While it must be enjoyable for them to film scenes together, it's also quite fun for the fans, who can watch the movie with the voyeuristic knowledge that the stars are actually together in real life. The following celebrity couples are not only married, but former co-stars – and deliciously fun to watch on-screen!

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard: The Rum DiaryJohnny Depp was still with his longtime partner, Vanessa Paradis, when he filmed The Rum Diary with Amber Heard in 2011. Their chemistry was palpable as he played a journalist who falls for Heard's character, the frustrated wife of a corrupt businessman. Depp and Paradis split in 2012, and a few months later, Depp and Heard went public with their relationship. They married in February 2015.

Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum: Step UpThe couple that dances together stays together! These two dancers met on the set of Step Up in 2006. If you haven't already seen the movie, you can probably guess the plot: he's a hip-hop dancer from the wrong side of the tracks; she's a ballet student who needs help choreographing her dance routines. Sparks fly on the dance floor – and, apparently in real life: They married in 2009 and now have a two-year-old daughter.

Annette Bening and Warren Beatty: Love AffairIn this 1994 remake of An Affair to Remember, Annette Bening plays Terry, the woman who conceals her sudden accident and disability from her former lover, played by Warren Beatty. The couple met in 1990 when Beatty cast Bening to play the romantic lead in his film Bugsy. Though Beatty has said that he fell in love with her the day they met, the couple formally started dating after filming wrapped. They married in 1992, making them one of Hollywood's longest-lasting couples.

Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor: ZoolanderYes, Derek Zoolander the model and Matilda the journalist are married in real life. The two met in 1999 when Taylor was in a pilot Stiller directed called Heat Vision and Jack. One year later they were married, and the year after that, they starred together in Zoolander. No word yet if their real-life son is interested in modeling...

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris: Take Me Home TonightThis love story began as more of a love triangle. The two met on the set of their 2007 movie Take Me Home Tonight, where they play a couple who eventually breaks up (prompting Pratt's character to break down sobbing). Pratt was interested in Faris, but she was married to actor Ben Indra. When their marriage ended a year later, Pratt finally made a move. The couple married in 2009 and now have a 3-year-old son.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds: The Green LanternWhat gal can resist a superhero? The two met while costarring in The Green Lantern in 2010, though Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson and Lively was dating her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley at the time. Both relationships ended, and Lively and Reynolds casually dated others until they finally got together in late 2011. A year later they "secretly" wed in South Carolina, and their daughter was born earlier this year.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard: Hit and Run
Bell and Shepard had already been together for years by the time they filmed the 2012 action flick Hit and Run, in which he plays a former getaway car driver and she plays his straight-laced girlfriend. They met in 2007 at a party, though sparks didn't fly until two weeks later when they ran into each other at a hockey game. Though they've spoken at length about their wildly different pasts (she went to college while he was a hard partier), they've been married since 2013.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem: Vicky Christina BarcelonaViewers first got a glimpse of Cruz and Bardem's chemistry in the 1992 film Jamon, Jamon, which is the set where they first met. Fifteen years later, the two were spotted together, sparking dating rumors that they refused to confirm. After starring together in 2008 in Vicky Christina Barcelona, in which Cruz plays Bardem's ex-lover, rumors intensified. Bardem finally acknowledged their relationship in 2010 during a speech at the Cannes Film Festival, and they married later that year.
