Congratulations are in order for Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young! The star of HGTV's "Flip or Flop" and one of the stars of Netflix's popular reality television show "Selling Sunset" announced their engagement on Sunday, July 26, 2020, on their respective Instagram accounts.
Tarek El Moussa playfully captioned his Instagram engagement announcement, "She said yes! #FlippingHerLastName," as an ode to his popular television show "Flip or Flop," which he starred in originally with his previous wife, Christina El Moussa, who he divorced over two years ago after seven years of marriage. As Christina has already remarried, fans of the show and supporters of Tarek El Moussa were thrilled when he found love again with Heather Rae Young of "Selling Sunset," which will be premiering its third season on August 7, 2020.
The newly affianced pair became engaged at Descanso Beach Club while celebrating their one-year anniversary on vacation on Catalina Island. Just days before she said "yes," Heather Rae Young shared a sweet post to her Instagram account, describing the pair's love and adoration for one another. Though El Moussa had not proposed at the time, it's clear the couple had already decided to commit to one another.
"From the first day I met you, to our first date and our second date when we decided to commit 100% before we barely even knew each other. But we knew what we had was special. We had that butterflies in your tummy, can’t eat, can’t stop smiling soul mate love," Young shared with her beloved and nearly 900,000 followers. "I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Every single day waking up to your sweet face and holding me before bed. I love you beyond anything I could have ever dreamed or imagined. I promise to love you every single day."
The groom-to-be shared a similar post to commemorate the couple's one-year anniversary. "Exactly one year ago today, [Heather] and I decided to be exclusive during our second date! Less than a week after our first date, we moved in together and never looked back!" he shared of their whirlwind romance. "The second our eyes connected and we smiled at each other I knew my life would never be the same. She is incredible in every way possible and most importantly, she loves and adores Tay and Bray," he adds of his two children he shares with Christina El Moussa.
