Claire Pettibone’s new spring/summer 2017 Romantique collection was inspired by laid-back Southern California vibes, as well as the many brides who find couture prices out of reach. The boho-chic gowns create a relaxed and ethereal look for brides who want a dreamy wedding day without the stress. There are no ball gowns or princess looks here; these frocks are for the effortlessly cool bride who does not fit into a defined type.

The collection is both feminine and refined, with fluttering and flowing details, signature open and illusion backs, and both structured and soft lace. While each gown is unique, surprises include the pop of color on the “Olvera” gown that leaned into the designer’s admiration of Latina culture, the layered look of “Coachella” that would fit right in at the famed music festival of the same name, and the matching cape paired with the embroidered tulle, ivory cording, silver thread, and clear sequins of the “Santa Monica” gown. View these styles and more in the slideshow above!
