Christian Siriano, one of the hottest designers of the past several years, has launched his a bridal collection through the famed Kleinfeld Bridal. He did not play it safe, showing bold designs at Bridal Fashion Week in New York City. The line was inspired painters such as Monet and Degas, as well as art nouveau and interiors of France. Select silhouettes were inspired by his sister’s past experience as a ballet dancer.

Despite the old-world influence on the collection, a modern take was clear in many of the looks. One design featured a crop top with an intricately beaded illusion neckline that was paired with a pencil skirt with a chapel train. There were two pant-based ensembles as well; a tailored suit with feminine cascading ruffles, and a sequin jumpsuit with a train and choker neckpiece. The gown that had everyone’s attention was the final look of the Christian Siriano collection – an absolutely jaw-dropping ball gown with a voluminous ombré skirt that hits the floor in a rich scarlet hue and moves upwards in fuchsia, magenta, and the palest of blush until it becomes ivory as it reaches the bodice.
