For those couples with a strong sweet tooth, perhaps one of the most enjoyable aspects of wedding planning will come about at your cake tasting. Selecting the right dessert for your reception punctuates the event in a beautiful – and filling! – way. Its flavor and texture are very important, but another element to consider is the aesthetic of your cake. Engaged pairs nowadays have such a wide variety of designs to choose from when it comes to their wedding confection: one of our favorites is an ombré-style cake.
With an ombré color scheme, you see a gradual gradient of color – typically starting off darker or bolder at the bottom and getting progressively lighter – on the side of the cake. This style allows you to have freedom with embellishments, added florals, and other intricate designs while giving the dessert some dimension.
