Since so many women now have wedding-themed Pinterest boards that often start long before they are engaged, or even before they meet their beloved, new brides frequently mistakenly think the big day is essentially already planned. It typically doesn’t take long after getting engaged to realize that actually booking vendors is a little more complicated than browsing through pictures on the web. However, that’s just one of many things that no one tells you before you start planning your wedding.

Discover seven things no one tells you about wedding planning, below:

- You’ll talk about it too much. No matter how much you rolled your eyes when your friends did the same thing, the planning will still occupy your mind and you’ll find yourself unable to stop venting your frustration or sharing your excitement.

- You’re going to cry. Something that you’ve always pictured on your wedding day will turn out not to be feasible, and you will find yourself breaking down. If your emotions are starting to affect your daily life, it may be time to hire a wedding planner

- Even a low-key celebration will stress you out. You don’t have to have a black-tie affair to be swimming in decisions and logistics. Even an at-home reception requires rentals and little details that may drive you crazy.

- Both of your families will have opinions. Keep in mind that if they are contributing to the budget you may have to listen to them, but try to stand your ground on what’s really important to you – whether it’s not having a church ceremony or keeping your second-cousin off the guest list in exchange for your sorority sister.

- You and your sweetheart will start arguing more. After the happy haze of getting engaged clears away, little spats about wedding plans will crop up. Remember that you’re both just frustrated, and be sure to schedule date nights where discussion of the big day is off limits.

- You will act like a bridezilla. It may not be excessive or during your entire engagement, but at one point you’ll insist on something unreasonable. Periodically check in with your friends and family to make sure they’ll give you a reality check.

- The wedding will be perfect, even if it isn’t. At the end of the day, you got married! And that’s what it’s all about.
