It’s generally accepted that planning your wedding is a stressful task. There are so many expectations for it to be the best day of your life, as well as a fun and entertaining night for your guests. The pressure to make everything perfect is overwhelming, as the last thing anyone wants is to have regrets on their wedding day. Of course, perhaps the easiest way to achieve this is simply feeling that everything happens for a reason and that nothing can ruin your day as long as you are able to marry the love of your life. Though it may seem counterintuitive, studies have shown that fewer choices actually lead to more satisfied decision-making. So, instead of agonizing over dozens of dresses or types of linens, you’re better off with a list of only a few choices. This is where a wedding planner and a bridal stylist can come in handy – they are able to narrow down the options before you even start looking. On a related note, once you make a decision, stop looking at inspiration. There will other be other bridal gowns, floral arrangements, and invitation suites, but the ones you chose will be at your wedding, which makes them all pretty special.
Of course, no matter how hard you try, there will still be choices you have to make for the big day that will be tough. When you find yourself faced with complete indecision, it can be helpful to step away for a bit. If you don’t have time to sleep on it, take a break with your future spouse by going to lunch or even just watching some television. After your head is clear, you may find the right choice is more obvious.
