Rustic-chic weddings are undeniably en vogue, especially this time of year. Planning an event that perfectly balances austere and sophisticated elements can be a challenge, but luckily, Inside Weddings has plenty of resources to help you along the way. As stated in other articles, fall is one of our favorite seasons, so it’s only natural we enjoy, well, natural details in seasonal nuptials. From incorporating a marsala color palette into your décor to serving elevated comfort food during your reception, there are a variety of ways in which to create your big day around autumn. Perhaps one of the simplest ways is through including various wooden elements throughout your ceremony and reception.

Whether your nuptials are being held indoors, outdoors, or a combination of both, the addition of wood details can transport you and your guests to a sophisticated forest. You can go the traditional route and use wood furniture throughout your space, and you can also feature the element in unique ways, such as in menu designs and serving platters. To see some of the innovative ways our real weddings and styled shoots have included wood, scroll through the photos below and be sure to click on each one for further inspiration.
