For their “Southern Plantation Luxury” styled shoot, Bobbi Rice Weddings fashioned a glamorous alfresco ceremony and reception, along with an additional indoor option for the latter. To capture the ambience of their vision, the team selected the Houmas House Plantation and Gardens in Darrow, Louisiana.

The grand lawn of the property’s lush grounds set a charming backdrop for a vow exchange at dusk beneath oak tree branches draped with Spanish moss and strands of crystals. A scroll pattern crafted with golden and ivory petals adorned the aisle. The scene was completed by the musical accompaniment of a string quartet.

The bride was escorted in a dress of lace and tulle with florid straps and a chapel-length train. She accented her blonde waves with a veil and dazzling headpiece that echoed the design on her sash. The groom, like his groomsmen, was clad in a charcoal linen suit with a white boutonniere and tie.

A nearby arbor and surrounding area provided an intimate space for the reception. Vanilla fabric fastened with bundles of ivory bouquets framed the entrance. Chairs swathed in sequined sleeves encircled a table covered with a textured tablecloth. Creamy clouds of orchids, roses, and hydrangeas in tall silver vases were nestled amid a floral runner composed of similar blooms in cube glass vases. Varied rhinestone napkin bands, set upon platinum chargers, and crystal strands – that were suspended overhead and cascaded from the arrangements – provided a touch of sparkle. Candlelight cast a soft glow on the table as night descended. The wedding confection combined elements of the celebration with its pearl and platinum layers, rhinestone pins, lace details, and a crystal band.

The same floral combination and palette, along with a collection of candles in a variety of elegant glass vessels, transitioned beautifully to an alternate reception inside the antebellum Greek Revival plantation. They created a striking presentation against a bare wood table. Place settings consisted of china with navy blue rims. The dessert course offered slices from a four-layer cake – two of which were covered in grey beads – embellished with sugar flowers. Live entertainment played music for the handsome couple to dance the night away. A traditional sparkler send-off was a fitting end to the festivities.
