A seaside clambake with a concerted touch of elegance marked the rehearsal dinner of Michelle Marino and Austin Drill. “We wanted the dinner to feel organic, as though the party had sprung from the sea, so we let the beach’s inherent beauty guide our color palette,” says Michelle. Airy linens added casual sophistication to picnic tables bordered by benches, while tabletop lanterns of metal and glass provided the romantic glow of candlelight. Pails of lemons were placed within easy reach for squeezing on a menu of lobsters and mussels, while fresh salsa and guacamole were enjoyed with multicolored chips. Pillows and blankets dotted the sand so guests could appreciate the blazing bonfire in comfort, and pashminas were offered to keep the chill at bay.
