Alexa Stimson and Tyler Flynn met at a Management Associate Program through MGM Resorts International, where they both work, but it wasn’t until a friend gave them an extra push that their romance began to blossom. “The rest is history!” shares Alexa.

Once Tyler was ready to propose, the hopeful groom-to-be knew he had to pull off the perfect proposal to surprise his bride-to-be. One week before their five-year anniversary, Alexa came home to tea light candles, a field of roses, their puppy in a bow tie, and a gorgeous engagement ring, all prepared by Tyler. Of course, she said yes, and their family and friends awaited the happy couple at the bride’s parents’ house for an engagement party!

Having planned her wedding since she was five years old, Alexa knew exactly what she envisioned for her special day. Throughout their 16-month engagement, the pair worked closely with their wedding planner, Ashley Thompson of Ashley Creative Weddings & Events to ensure that everyone would have the most fun and memorable night. “If our guests were having a  great time, then we were going to have a great time,” admits Alexa of their decision-making factor.

When the big day arrived, 200 loved ones arrived at the ceremony, which was held poolside in Las Vegas at Red Rock Resort Spa & Casino. Displaying ample greenery and crisp white florals, lush and full arrangements filled the ceremony space and were further complemented with candles to create a romantic feel that the couple desired for their ceremony.

Following the heartfelt service, which was officiated by a good friend, loved ones immediately adjourned to the reception space – a former nightclub – to start the evening festivities. “We came up with the idea to repurpose the florals used for the ceremony,” shares the groom. “They were made the length of our tables and moved inside to the reception after. We also took those pieces and brought them to Alexa’s parents house to use for the next day's brunch.”

Guests enjoyed a lovely sit down dinner service, as well as donuts for a sweet treat before a night of dancing. When it came to the reception, it was important to the couple that they focus on having the best time with their friends and family. “We both love music and having fun, so we wanted to ensure we had a great playlist, DJ, sound system, and stocked bar,” explains the bride. “We absolutely loved our venue!” With an open bar and Champagne cart that kept drinks flowing all night, the newlyweds wanted to give everyone a Vegas nightclub experience. Reflecting on their special day, both Alexa and Tyler admit they wouldn't change a thing!
