Are all bridesmaids and groomsmen created equal? Not so fast, says Mindy Kaling. During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers Wednesday, the frequent bridesmaid explained what any woman who has stood beside a friend on her wedding day knows: that being a groomsman is a piece of cake compared to being a bridesmaid.

"You are a maid, and you know it because you're wearing a dress that's the same color as the other 'maids. That's your uniform. And your job is to guide grandparents and talk to foreigners and seat people who look confused," Kaling explains. "But when you're a groomsman... all they do is drink beer and play with the dogs."

Although there are many low-key brides, as well as "groomzillas," who don't fit these stereotypes, we have to say that Kaling is probably right when it comes to the many tasks that often fall to bridesmaids. From the bachelorette party to the bridal shower to the toasts, being a bridesmaid can be a demanding task!
