See the Wedding Dress Worn by Olivia Pope on Scandal!

Spoiler Alert: The hit show Scandal recently aired its 100th episode, embracing the milestone by having a wedding! Of course, it was an alternate reality, with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) wondering what could have been. The sequence has her marrying President Fitzgerald “Fitz” Grant (Tony Goldwyn) in a world where she had never helped rig his election. The opulent ceremony featured gold details and rich red florals, but with Olivia Pope’s reputation as a style icon, the real focus was of course her gown. 

Costume designer Lyn Paolo went to famed bridal designer Anne Barge to find the right dress for the character. “Anne Barge was an amazing find for Olivia. We looked for a dream gown and Anne delivered,” Lyn confirms. The final choice was the “Berkeley” ball gown, made of Kalika silk and featuring a chiffon bodice and off-the-shoulder cap sleeves. “'Berkeley' is one of my most special gowns. It is both timeless and chic, perfect for a modern, classic bride,” says the designer. Get a closer look at the dress below!
