In honor of the 2020s, we're predicting that a number of weddings this decade will take inspiration from the Roaring '20s a century ago.
It's the 2020s and while your wedding may not have turned out as you planned, we're predicting that a number of weddings this decade will take inspiration from the '20s a century ago. One of the most popular vintage-inspired wedding themes we hear referenced by brides and grooms belong to those who love The Great Gatsby. Though the story itself didn't have a happy ending, the allure of the grand parties and style is enough to ignite inspiration. Whether you choose to go with a full theme or just incorporate some design elements from the glamour of the Roaring '20s, there are a number of ways to pay homage to the luxury of the era with your event design.
Rising in popularity in the 1920s and 1930s, Art Deco design showcases rich colors, geometric elements, and stunning details. Couples planning their nuptials can achieve an Art Deco look by adding geometric shapes and ornate fan-inspired motifs, luxurious lighting and sunburst designs, and stunning glass and mirrored details. The most popular color palette for an Art Deco-inspired wedding is black and gold, but any hues can complement a décor style reminiscent of the Jazz Age with the right embellishments.
