For the launch party of the new Luxe Linen line, wedding planners and event designers were paired with florists and assigned one of the new linens in order to create an original tablescape. “When I received my fabric swatch for my table, it reminded me of my recent trip to Barcelona,” says the planner. “You can't think Barcelona and Modernisme without thinking Gaudi, so his architecture was another influence in the design and our chandelier was reflective of his hanging chain models that he created for his most iconic buildings.”

Contrasting the bold darkness of the gold-and-black "Mirage Onyx" linen were vibrant florals in a variety of shades. Amber-hued roses, fuchsia sweet peas, blue delphiniums, and orange orchids were among the blooms that filled the tablescape. Tapered periwinkle candles, ensconced in hurricanes, were placed throughout the blossoms. Gold chargers and flatware tied in with the linens, while silk napkins in a deep navy style – named "Indigo Giana" – provided a contrast. Modern and naturalistic elements were combined in the bright blue rock-like pieces that formed the place cards.

For the model who acted as the bride of the setting, the consultant was inspired by Beyoncé’s look during her performance at the 2017 Grammy Awards. He created a headdress with a sunburst appearance to allude to that moment, while the model wore a mostly sheer gown with a nude underlay.

The Luxe Linen launch party provides designers with an unusual challenge, which is valued by the professionals. “Being given the linen was a great process because you really had to create something from that swatch of fabric,” explains the planner. “You couldn't come up with a design first and choose the linen to speak to that design. The linen truly dictated the direction I was going to take.”
