“Weddings that incorporate color can be timeless, too!” proclaims Jordan Payne of Jordan Payne Events. The “Jewel Toned Elegance” styled shoot she produced with her team makes that case beautifully. The dramatic “Alethia & Erik” invitation suite by Ceci New York, featuring damask details and laser-cut sleeves, introduced the vibrant affair. The garden setting at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, was infused with an expansive rich purple palette – from violet to magenta – with gold accents and an ample dose of texture.

A sea of fuchsia dendrobium orchids floating in the reflecting pool created a striking effect against azure tiles and pointed the way to the alfresco festivities. The head table was clad in a patterned tablecloth and featured a magnificent tree-like floral design. Lush orchid garlands with touches of foliage cascaded above a florid trunk composed of tulips. A mound of roses, hydrangeas, orchids, calla lilies, and anthuriums rested at its base.

Orchids, hydrangeas, and roses in aubergine, mauve, and magenta tones topped gilded stands with Art Deco-inspired design at guest tables swathed in lilac linens. Petite bundles of hyacinths encircled these centerpieces. The selection of chairs also reflected the color scheme with ivory, amethyst, and lavender seat cushions. Chair sleeves expressed a fabulous exploration of texture with draped, ruffled, embossed leather, and crystal-embellished options. “Monochromatic jewel tones featured with several textures found throughout the linen and chair treatments really give this table design depth!” exclaims Jordan.

Votive vessels, brass candleholders, and flatware added a touch of bullion to the tablescapes. Place settings were composed of luxe Versace china and crystal stemware with frosted emblematic details. Individual wedding cakes served for dessert were the decadent finale of this scene. The delicate masterpieces showcased a variety of ornate textures including floral and pearl embellishments.

“The bold bride-to-be who is not afraid of texture, boldness, and style!” is how Jordan describes the ladies captivated by such a fête. A hue favored by many Inside Weddings’ brides, visit our weddings page or Pinterest board for more ideas to craft your own vibrant amethyst celebration.
