“He saw me from across the room,” Bahara Golestani recalls. Ramandeep Singh admits he was instantly captivated and couldn’t look away. “I went up to talk to her, and there was an instant spark – something I’ve never felt before.” When they saw each other again a few weeks later, it felt like fate. “From that moment on, I was drawn to her completely.”
For their proposal, Ramandeep wanted the moment to be deeply personal. “I proposed to Bahara on Christmas,” he shares. Bahara elaborates: “Surrounded by family, the lights from the tree reflected off a small box tucked beneath the branches – it was my most unforgettable gift! It was nothing short of magical.”
When it came time to plan their wedding, Bahara knew the vision she wanted from the very beginning. “I always dreamt of a glamorous, elegant wedding with lots of flowers and candles,” she explains. “I wanted it to feel luxurious and timeless – something that truly reflected us.”
With planning led by Edgar Hay of Edgar Hay Events, her ideas came to life in spectacular form. “He is the best planner I could have ever asked for,” Bahara says. “He helped me bring every detail to life and made the entire process stress-free. I can’t thank him enough for everything he did.”
“Walking down the aisle, I couldn’t stop smiling – it felt like a dream.”
The couple selected a luxurious, seaside hotel property as their venue. “I wanted something by the ocean, somewhere romantic and classic,” Bahara notes. “When I saw the space, I immediately knew it was the one.” The pair envisioned a day that felt like a grand celebration yet was full of heartfelt meaning. “It was elegant, emotional, and full of love,” Bahara shares. “Everything felt perfect.”
As the day unfolded, Bahara says she was calm but full of emotion. “Walking down the aisle, I couldn’t stop smiling,” she remembers. “It felt like a dream. I couldn’t believe I was marrying the love of my life.” Ramandeep echoes her sentiment. “Seeing her walk toward me was the happiest moment of my life,” he says.
The ceremony design incorporated lush, full blooms, mirrored aisles, and soft candlelight. “I wanted the flowers to be the star,” Bahara explains. “They covered the aisle, the chuppah, and the reception space. Our floral design team created something out of a movie.”
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed dinner and dancing under a canopy of flowers and chandeliers. “It was absolutely breathtaking,” Bahara recalls. “The room felt like it was glowing.” The menu, curated by the hotel’s culinary team, included fine international dishes and specialty cocktails. “Every bite was incredible,” she says.
For their first dance, Bahara remembers feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. “It was such a special moment,” she shares. “Everyone we loved was there, cheering for us. I’ll never forget it.” Her favorite detail of the day was the sheer abundance of flowers. “I wanted it to feel like a floral fairy tale,” she says. “I told our planner that I wanted guests to walk in and feel transported, and he made that happen.”
The couple’s celebration continued late into the night with live musical entertainment. “It kept everyone on their feet the whole night,” Bahara laughs. “We didn’t want the night to end.”
Looking back, both agree that the wedding exceeded every dream. “It was perfect in every way,” Ramandeep says. Bahara adds, “It was the best day of my life.” Her advice for future brides is simple. “Don’t settle on your vision,” she says. “Trust your instincts, hire people who understand your taste, and enjoy every single second, as it goes by so fast.”
