Even with his experience as a stuntman and stunt coordinator for some of Hollywood’s biggest films, nothing could prepare Jeff Barnett for the romantic act he was about to perform for girlfriend Whitney Miller. After opening all of her presents beneath their tree on Christmas morning, Whitney was instructed to follow a ribbon all the way around the evergreen. When she reached the end, she discovered a gleaming white leather bag with a ring box hidden inside. Jeff proceeded to get down on one knee and asked Whitney to be his wife; he then received the best gift of his life when his bride-to-be said “yes!” On a sunny summer day in Rancho Palos Verdes, the couple was wed on a cliff set on the grounds of the magnificent Terranea Resort.

Wrought iron gates welcomed friends and family to a stunning sunset ceremony space embellished with romantic décor elements including lace fabrics and florals in creamy hues. Jeff and his eight groomsmen were dapper in grey suits wearing classic ties and rose boutonnieres in shades of cream and blush. Whitney looked resplendent in a strapless mermaid gown as she walked down the aisle, which was beautifully designed with rose petals leading up to the chuppah. Six bridesmaids wore ethereal floor-length sheath dresses in blush hues featuring one-shouldered illusion necklines and carried nosegays of fresh spring and garden roses resembling Whitney’s larger bridal bouquet.

Following the nuptials, which incorporated both Christian and Jewish faiths, guests were welcomed into an exceptionally gorgeous reception room. Magnificent tablescapes were decorated with statuesque floral centerpieces in varying sizes. Spring and garden roses, dahlias, and hydrangeas in neutral shades of pinks and creams sat atop mercury glass vases while light green ameranthus and strings of crystal beads cascaded down from the artistic arrangements. A sit-down dinner service, passed miniature desserts, a gelato cart, and a towering all-white cake completed the marvelous formalities of the day. Two hundred of the couple’s loved ones danced into the night, including the bride and groom who during their first dance felt as if they were the only two individuals in the room.

“Marry a girl as fun, cool, and easy-going as I did who makes your wedding the best day imaginable,” boasts the groom. “I’m sure there are some nightmare stories out there, but this definitely isn’t one of them.” For Whitney and Jeff, the night could not have been any more perfect. “Everyone talks about how sad you feel when the wedding is over, but no one really tells you how amazing it is to be married,” begins the bride. “To know that you two are each other’s team, best friend, family… It’s amazing to feel that.”
