Whether you're planning an intimate wedding or an extravagant soirée, incorporating romantic elements into the décor of both the ceremony and reception is of the utmost importance. In order to inspire brides and grooms in the midst of planning a romantic celebration, Seattle-based planning, floral, and event design company Emerson & Host coordinated a stunning shoot to display three different bridal looks and a gorgeous ceremony and reception in a modern greenhouse at Seattle's Almquist Winery.

The theme of the shoot was "Modern Romance" – with everything designed to highlight elegance and formality with a base of natural tones and textures. "We paired the romantic neutral tones and textures of French Château architecture, surrounded by classic gardens, with an elegant modern Seattle greenhouse, creating the best of both modern and classic worlds," shares Faith Jaeger of Emerson & Host.

Three different couples modeled various wedding ensemble options from The Dress Theory Seattle and Generation Tux, as well as beauty looks including fishtail braids and sophisticated coiffures by Cayley Gove of Lamp Post Salon and makeup by Beth Brockerman Beauty. Bouquets showcased neutral blooms tied with layers of hand-dyed silk ribbons to add an heirloom feel.

Invitations and paper goods by Papel & Co. featured timeless elements such as a wax seal on the envelope, along with modern details like gold foil lettering. Nearby the reception table, the inspiring ceremony space featured a classic pipe-and-drape design with climbing greenery and ivory garden roses to create the ambience of walking through French gardens amidst the climbing garden roses.

For the reception space, a romantic formal table setting featured modern accents and rich, natural tones. "Each detail is filled with precision and intentionality, creating a tablescape that continues to draw you in and captivate you with all the elements," Jaeger adds.

The table itself was surrounded by cane-back chairs provided by Cort Party Rentals and adorned with a linen tablecloth, slate velvet table runner, and concrete floral compotes and dual-stemmed bud vases filled with elegant blooms featuring a base of taupe and cream garden roses accented with modern details like scabiosa pods and brown hellebores to provide height, texture, and bolder elements while adding pattern and rhythm.

To ensure the shoot incorporated almost all of the aspects of a real wedding reception, a hearty dinner was provided by Table Catering Co. and a lovely three-tier wedding cake was designed by Delicately Sweet Confections. In lieu of a smaller favor for every guest, gift boxes by Marigold & Grey were placed at each guest's seat – a wonderful idea for pairs hosting smaller, more-intimate weddings.

"From the stunning bridal gowns, to the custom gift boxes for each guest, this editorial encompasses the idea of understated luxury, creating an atmosphere not soon to be forgotten," Jaeger affirms. Take a look at the beautiful photos by Breanna Plus Kevin in the slideshow above!
