'This is Us' Star Justin Hartley on His Toast at His Sister's Wedding

The actor told Stephen Colbert he was worried his speech wouldn't live up to his hit show.

As Kevin Pearson on This is Us, Justin Hartley knows all about emotional scenes. During a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the soap star turned primetime heartthrob revealed that his sister asked him to give a speech at her wedding reception. Though initially honored, when the big day arrived, Justin started to feel the pressure that comes with his occupation. His TV show is famous for making people cry – what if his toast didn’t stir any emotions? Luckily, it sounds like he hit the sweet spot of having tears well up without ruining his sister’s makeup. While his sister only got married last weekend, Justin is actually a newlywed himself! The actor married Chrishell Stause in Malibu this past October. The groom’s castmates from his TV family, including Sterling K. Brown, Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, and Chrissy Metz, were all in attendance at the intimate celebration. During the ceremony, Justin wore a classic black tuxedo, but changed into a white jacket for the reception. The bride stunned in an elegant and modern A-line gown with feather details.
