No matter how much you love your future spouse, you may find it hard to come up with the words to say during your nuptials. While it’s not a medium people always take seriously, television has aired countless weddings, and through these episodes there is plenty of inspiration to take from the personal vows of some of our most beloved characters. Read below for some of our favorite wedding vows from hit TV shows.

Boy Meets World - Cory & Topanga

Topanga: I wasn’t sure this day would ever come. But you were. I wasn’t sure that love could survive everything we put it through. But you were. You were always strong and always sure. And now I know that I want you to stand beside me for the rest of my life. That’s what I’m sure of.

Cory: Ever since I was young, I never really understood anything about the world, and I never understood anything that happened in my life. The only thing that ever made sense to me was you, and how I felt about you. That's all I've ever known. And that's enough! That's enough for me for the rest of my life, Topanga.

Scrubs - Turk & Carla

Carla: I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, but you’ve managed to erase them all, because each and every one of them has led me to you.

Turk: When I look into your eyes, I see the future. I see kids, I see minivans… you name it, I see it. The weird thing is, though, as long as I see your smile, none of that stuff scares me.

Parks & Recreation - Ben & Leslie

Ben: In my time working for the state government, my job sent me to 46 cities in 11 years. I lived in villages with eight people, rural farming communities, college towns. I was sent to every corner of Indiana. And then I came here. And I realized that, this whole time, I was just wandering around, everywhere, just looking for you.

Leslie: The things that you have done for me, to help me, support me, surprise me, to make me happy, go above and beyond what any person deserves. You're all I need. I love you and I like you.

Grey's Anatomy - Derek & Meredith

Both: I want to be with you forever, and you want to be with me forever, and in order to do that, we need to make vows, a commitment, a contract. What do we want to promise each other? That you'll love me, even when you hate me. To love each other even when we hate each other. No running– ever. Nobody walks out no matter what happens. That we’ll take care of each other even when we’re old and smelly and senile. This is forever.

Fraiser - Niles & Daphne

Daphne: I, Daphne Moon, do take thee, Niles Crane, as my husband. I promise you my fidelity and my support, my laughter and my tears, my constant friendship and my unending love as long as we both shall live."

Niles: I, Niles Crane, do take thee, Daphne Moon, as my wife.  I vow to you my fidelity and my support, my honor and my respect, my honesty and my protection.  You are my comfort, my joy, and my one true love. I will cherish you all the days of my life and treasure the journey that has brought us to this most wonderful perfect place.

Beverly Hills 90210 - David & Donna

David: When was it that we fell in love? When we were eighteen? Sixteen? Maybe ten. I don't know, 'cause the truth is, I can't picture a time when I wasn't in love with you. I always knew you were the one that could look into my eyes and see my soul. I don't question your commitment to us. And I know there's nothing we can't work through. And I accept you, as my partner and as my best friend above all others. It's a miracle to find the kind of peace and happiness that you've given me. And in honor of that miracle, I pledge before our family and friends to love and cherish you forever.

Donna: I look at you and I see my best friend. Your energy and your passion inspire me in ways I never thought possible. Your inner beauty is so strong that I no longer fear being myself. I no longer fear at all. I never thought that I could find someone to love that would love me back unconditionally. And then I realized that although we were often apart, you were always with me, and you were my soulmate. You give me purpose when I feel I have none. Without you, my soul would be empty, my heart broken, my being incomplete. I thank God every day that you were brought into my life. And I thank you for loving me.
