Upon meeting at a Los Angeles Kings game, “I shared with Evan the rules of hockey, as I played in college,” remembers Rebecca Reardon of her first encounter with Evan Richter. That night, Evan knew he had found The One, and it wasn’t long before he flew to the home of Rebecca’s parents to ask for their blessing to marry her. Sourcing a stunning emerald-cut diamond engagement ring with a channel-set diamond band from his family’s jewelry store, he proposed to his beloved while they were visiting Napa.

With limited time to organize their dream wedding, the couple stresses the importance of building a great wedding team – theirs led by Jonathan Reeves of International Event Company. “As we only had three months to plan everything, having the support team helped eliminate the stress from all the decisions that needed to be made to ensure a flawless experience for our guests and for us as a couple,” explains the bride.

Desiring a wedding venue that was local, outdoors, and filled with “natural beauty,” the pair settled upon a gorgeous Tudor Revival mansion in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood of Beverly Hills. “We needed to have luscious gardens and an intimate feel to complement our design and allow us to be super creative,” Rebecca shares of their vision, which she describes as having a “heavy emphasis on romance and a Regency-inspired style.”

“As we only had three months to plan everything, having the support team helped eliminate the stress from all the decisions that needed to be made to ensure a flawless experience.”

The luxurious site provided the ideal setting for 150 friends and family members to gather for an alfresco garden ceremony and courtyard reception under the stars. Guests enjoyed delectable fare from a variety of food stations decorated with vibrant blooms in autumnal tones along with fruits and vegetables at the on-site reflection pond dotted with lily pads and the mansion’s immaculate terraces.

Loved ones were then led up to the formal gardens for the vow exchange, finding their seats atop wooden chairs with ivory cushions arranged on the well-manicured lawn. They faced a towering chuppah adorned with ample verdure and floral accents in punchy tones, which also lined the grassy aisle.

Famed Israeli vocalist Ohad Moskowitz performed during the Orthodox Jewish ceremony. “The first time I heard Ohad sing, I knew I wanted him to sing at my future wedding,” Evan confirms. The groom was all smiles as Rebecca walked down the aisle in a statement satin ball gown featuring a regal peplum corset top and full gathered skirt with a pointed-tail train, as well as a high-neck, long-sleeve bolero that was worn for the traditional service and replaced with detachable puff sleeves for the reception.

When it was time for dinner in the courtyard, attendees were seated at round tables strewn with velvet linens in light blue by Luxe Linen. Centerpieces showcased tall crystal candelabra emerging from a base of colorful garden roses, hellebores, and greenery, as well as pomegranates, grapes, pears, persimmons, and apples, all illuminated with ambient candlelight. Each guest’s place setting featured a gold-rimmed charger, etched glassware, and even an individual serving board displaying a variety of bread options.

A sit-down dinner service was enjoyed by all, as was a selection of tasty desserts. The newlyweds and their loved ones spent the rest of the evening savoring the romantic feel of the evening and dancing the night away. From their meaningful ceremony to the lively 90-minute hora, Evan and Rebecca affirm it was a day to remember. The groom’s only regret is that he wishes he had “found Rebecca sooner,” he smiles.
