When thinking about wedding-day accessories, we often go right to jewelry: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and perhaps even accent rings. However, there are so many small, complementary details of your overall look to consider! For brides, items such as garters, nail embellishments, and headpieces can come into play; for grooms, watches, cuff links, and even a chic handkerchief are fun ideas with which to play. Of all the potential additions to a groom or groomsman’s outfit, one of our favorites – and most commonly incorporated – is the boutonniere.
This floral add-on to a man’s formal attire complements both his suit and the décor of the event as a whole. Many couples opt for small blooms that are also featured in the bride’s bouquet, while others want to select flowers that mean something personal to the groom. Whether a boutonniere is made up of a single blossom, multiple perennials, or even a mixture of greenery, brush, and other accents, each is different and unique.
