As soon as many brides begin planning their weddings, they have an immediate idea of what song they'd like to use for their father-daughter dance. Perhaps its a tune that they listened to throughout childhood with their dad, or maybe it's a recent favorite that they both loved when they went to a concert together. Other brides may have no idea where to start. To provide inspiration for these women, we gathered the father-daughter dance tunes selected by the brides who were featured in some of the latest issues of Inside Weddings.
There are a few main categories of music that our past brides have selected for their father-daughter dance songs. Many chose childhood favorites – such as popular tunes from Disney films such as Sleeping Beauty, The Jungle Book, and The Lion King – while others selected timeless classics by Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, and The Temptations. Other brides swayed to country ballads like “I Loved Her First” by Heartland and a number of tunes by Tim McGraw – one couple even had a live performance of "My Little Girl" by the country star.
