Though many couples choose to say "I do" in the spring, summer, or even fall months, some brides and grooms choose to embrace the cold weather and host a winter wedding! Wintry celebrations often feature white and silver color schemes, evergreen and pinecone accents, or even festive transportation such as a horse-drawn carriage.

If you've always wanted to have a winter wedding, don't let the weather scare you. Your wedding planner will have many ideas on how to make the event a success, regardless of chilly temperatures or snow. Add romantic candlelight to keep guests warm, serve up warm apple cider and hot chocolate, and instead of pashminas, offer faux fur blankets for loved ones to stay cozy. The options are endless!

Classic White Winter Wedding in Napa Valley

Since the bride had always dreamed of having a winter wedding, but the couple didn't want all of their guests to have to travel to Aspen, they created a wintry setting in California's wine country. The indoor ceremony featured arrangements of branches draped with roses and crystals, and as the bride and groom were pronounced husband and wife, loved ones showered them with "snowflakes." A stone fireplace provided a cozy ambience for the reception, and a sparkling cake was decorated with silver snowflakes.
