There’s something so incredibly lovely about vintage detailing. Whether part of your home décor, party items, or wedding design, transporting guests to another time period when they walk into your space is an unparalleled feeling. That being said, brides and grooms who elect to create their nuptials around an Old-World motif often run into certain issues when trying to decide on their aesthetic concept – while there is plenty of inspiration available for modern wedding trends, it’s noticeably more difficult to find ideas based on decades of the past, especially when your chosen motif is quite specific.

Many couples who love vintage-inspired details are influenced by time periods in the 20th century, such as the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, though certain pairs desire to go back even further. One of our favorite inspirational periods: the Renaissance. It was a time of rebirth after the Middle Ages, and it is regarded as a pinnacle of intellectual and cultural development in Europe. As a wedding concept, it is marked by darker color palettes, artful accents, candlelight, and wood elements.
